Just want to share about my latest experience in online shopping. Honestly, I’m not a typical of online shoppers. I only bought things on the internet if the actual store didn’t sell the products. And by far i never get a bad experience, that’s why i feel secure and comfortable to shop online. But, recently i get a very very bad experience that make me think twice again to do the same thing.
Without further, here’s the story..
There was one trusted local brand shop (i’m not gonna tell the name of it in here because it’s inappropriate) and they actually sell some good quality of handmade clothes. One day, on their Instagram they announce that they gonna launch a new product which is Bomber Jacket.
Yeah, as you all know that bomber jacket is trending nowadays especially for man’s fashion. In Indonesia itself, bomber jacket getting hype because our president Mr. Joko Widodo wear this when he made a speech on national television. I’mma proud one as Indonesian citizens, because they were very creative to make something like this gone viral :))
Anyways, back to the main topic. So this shop having promotion for their bomber jacket as they use Pre-Order System (PO). If you pre-ordering this bomber jacket, then you will get great deals. The bomber itself worth about 350k (in rupiahs) and you can buy it with just 200k, pretty cool right!
But, the main problem starts here..
They split this pre-order system in two times. First, customers can order in the end of September and they will send the bomber in early October. The second one, customers who didn’t get the first line can order it again in early October and the bomber will arrive at 25th October. Sounds very organized but it turns out to be a massive chaos.
Oh and by the way, I ordered it on the second line (07th October) so my bomber expected to be arrive at the end of October.
We movinnn’ on to early October, it’s time for the first line customers to get their bomber. But, something fishy appeared, turns out they having so many negative comments on their social media. Yeah, the comments were from the first line customers who didn’t get their bomber at the right time.
And it’s also impact the second line, which is me in there 😦
What frustrated me the most is not their late delivery process, but their unresponsive customer care both on phone and social media. They never replied customers’ comment and never ever pick-up our phone call (I tried to call like ten times). They also didn’t make some clarification to get things clear, they just say sorry for the late and try to do their best to get the bomber into customers’ hand.
What a professional one dude! *handsup*
This chaos probably take times for about a month, until my bomber finally arrived like three days ago. So, their promises was like some of “bull-things” to me.
Even my order already delivered, they didn’t update their order history and the status still packing (it’s like they don’t take this matter seriously)
Actually, the quality looks great but still can’t compare to their POOR service
That’s it, I hope my experience can make us more aware of online shopping and not to get caught by the promotion in the first place. If i can give some advice to them, they should reconsider again if they want to do this Pre-Order System. If they can’t afford it then just do regular system like ready stock or something that they can guarantee.
It’s not easy to build trust from many customers and once you make them dissapointed, they won’t keep in touch with you like forever.
